Page Not Found on Windows Server 2003 after installation of the Performance Sentry Portal


In the process of testing the latest setup routine for the Performance Sentry Portal on Windows Server 2003, it was discovered that upon setup completion, a user attempting to launch the Performance Sentry Portal website might encounter an HTTP 404 ‘The page cannot be found’ error:







Modifying IIS

The problem is that Web Service Extensions are not enabled for ASP.NET v2.0.50277:














Simply highlight ASP.NET v2.0.50277 and click the ‘Allow’ Button:














Now go back to the website and click the refresh button, or launch the Portal from the Windows ‘Start’ button and you will see the Portal home page:
