NTSMF is the original name of our Performance Sentry product which is still used in many SAS environments. NTSMF was developed for ‘Windows NT’ and the data provided by the software was in a mainframe-like ‘SMF’ format. Hence NT performance data in an ‘SMF-like’ format – NTMSF. With the advent of new naming conventions for Microsoft’s Windows Server operating systems, we have de-emphasized the ‘NT’ in our product name by simply referencing it and writing it as ‘Performance Sentry’
